One of the documents I've been working on in the past week is a concise summary of various papers I have read. This summary will help in preparing the project plan as well as summarize the important issues in genome rearrangement studies
Prof Leong recommended that I speak to Francis regarding the setup of a CVS repository to maintain the code developed in this project
Prof Leong asked me to help him to locate a paper which talks about a minimal standard for a random number generator. He recalls that one of the authors is named Park and the paper was published in CACM in the late 80's or early 90's
As part of my literature review I have been reading some papers which deals with performing experiements on algorithms as well as various models which describe how to generate test data for phylogenetic reconstruction algorithms.
