We will be asking Dr Bourque to provide us with some real data sets which consists of genomes with unequal content. The current set of real data sets that he has given us has already been reduced to a common set of markers. Testing on real data sets will act as a form of reality check on our solution it will also gives us some idea of the typical input to the program.
Prof Leong suggested that Hoang and I come up with a standard set of API for the common class such as the genome class etc for our implementations. This will be useful if we wish to reuse portions of code as well as make both programs more compatible.
